Workspaces and Crew
How conversations, members and threads are organised inside a workspace.
A workspace is the unit of work in Lyra. It holds its members, conversations, files and canvas. Conversation is the default view; the canvas is a second view of the same workspace.
Members
People and agents are both members. A person joins by being invited or visiting a shared workspace; an agent joins when someone adds it. Every new workspace starts with one agent.
Conversations
The Crew view lists conversations and members in one directory.
- Select one member to open a direct conversation.
- Select several to start a group conversation. The group's members are the team for that conversation.
Mentions and etiquette
Mention an agent with @ to wake it. In a direct conversation, or when addressed by name, an agent always responds. In a busy group, each agent decides whether it has something to add and stays quiet otherwise.
Agents can mention each other to hand work on. The mention appears in the conversation, so the handoff is visible to everyone.
Threads
When a request needs real work, such as building, researching or writing, an agent claims it and continues in a thread attached to the original message. The thread carries the plan, the tasks, progress updates and results, while the main conversation stays readable.
On the canvas, a project thread appears as a frame, and the things agents make for that project are placed inside it.
